Budget Hearing Resolution
The following resolution is for the 2025 - 2026 City Budget Hearing for June 2, 2025. The
adjustments to the proposed budget which were made during the review sessions with the
City Commission are summarized on the pages following the resolution.
The proposed property tax levy is as follows:

The total authorized millage, after the Headlee rollback, is 12.2336 mills for operating
purposes in addition to the millage necessary to provide debt service for the voted street
bonds issued in 2020 and 2024. The total proposed millage for fiscal year 2025/26 of 13.6964
mills is .3835 mills less than that for the previous fiscal year.
RESOLUTION
2025-2026 CITY BUDGET HEARING
WHEREAS, the 2025-2026 City Budget was presented to the City Commission by the City
Manager on April 7, 2025, and was reviewed by the City Commission with the Administration
during public study sessions; and
WHEREAS, various modifications have been made to the proposed budget based on a review
of projected revenues and expenditures and the City’s priorities for various programs and
projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Commission hereby calls a public hearing
to consider the proposed 2025-2026 City Budget, as revised, in accordance with the following
notice:
